Kruse
Reese Alan Kruse, 21, of Elysian Fields, died on Saturday, November 17, 2007, at his residence.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 21, 2007, in the chapel of Downs Funeral Home in Marshall, with Brother David Rice officiating. Burial followed in Bluewater Cemetery, Livingston.
He was born August 11, 1986 in Humble, the son of Horace Elmer Kruse Jr. and Wanda Gail Emmons Kruse. He attended Elysian Fields High School, where he was a member of the football team.
He was a welder for Millennium Railway. He was known as someone who loved everybody and who enjoyed fishing, hunting, music and his dog, Gator Bait. He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Wanda Emmons Kruse; father, Horace Kruse Jr.; and brother, Heath Kruse, all of Marshall; sister and brother-in-law, Brandy and Steve Spears of Elysian Fields; nieces, Chelsey, Madison and Samantha Spears' his best friend, his dog, Gator Bait; grandparents, Horace and Ella Kruse Sr. of New Boston; great-grandparents, Elmer and Mildred Kruse of Sand Hill and Thelma Thomas of New Boston; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles Eugene and Betty Lou Emmons.
Pallbearers for the Marshall service were Jakob Kruse, Blake Peterson, Jake Dickson, Cabe Dickson, Garrett Kruse and John Lawless. Pallbearers for the Livingston service were Jakob Kruse, Blake Petersen, Dwight Fender, Roman Reeves, David Smith and Garrett Kruse. Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Higginbotham, Byron Henson, Haley Dickson, Matt Gaylord, Lewis Findley, Chris Reel, Paul Holmes and Paul David Emmons.
