R.M. DODSON

FOREST -- Funeral services for R.M. “Boss” Dodson, 87, will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Ott and Lee Chapel in Forest with burial in Harperville Cemetery.

Dodson died Saturday morning at Thaggard Hospital in Madden after a brief illness. He was a native of Harperville in Scott County, but had lived in Walnut Grove for the past ten years. He was a retired farmer and a member of Ridge Methodist Church.

Survivors are six sons, Melton and Douglas Dodson, both of Harperville; Homer Dodson of Houston, Tex.; Junior Dodson of Jackson; Pete Dodson and Minor Allen, both of Walnut Grove; four daughters, Mrs. W.P. Reeves of Houston, Tex.; Mrs. Harry Curtis of Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Austin Sanders of Carthage and Mrs. Claude Sones of Walnut Grove; 22 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Charlie Bailey of Forest; Mrs. Horace Young of Tuscola and Mrs. Walter Foy of Canton.
