REEVES ANDREW BRADY
(August 16, 1918 - October 16, 2011)

Reeves Andrew Brady, age 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, October 16, 2011. He was born August 16, 1918, to Columbus Franklin and Sarah Delila (Rasmussen) Brady. He was born and raised in Manassa, Conejos, Colorado. He honorably served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He faithfully served in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in several leadership positions, including Bishop of the Van Nuys III Ward, Van Nuys, California, and honorably served two full time missions, the latter with his sweet wife, Joan.

He married Isabelle Whittaker and had five children, later divorced, then married Linda Layton and adopted her daughter Kimberly, later divorced, then married Valerie Joan Hurst in 1989. He enjoyed very much being with his family, making new friends and doing his best to make everyone around him feel comfortable. He was know for his quick sense of humor and people loved to be around him.

He is survived by his wife, Joan, children James Andrew Brady (Lynette), Ronald Kirk Brady, Karl Ray Brady (Laurie), Lori Brady Miller (Ariel), Kimberly Conway (Christopher). Stepchildren: Karen Perry (Byron), Rhonda Edwards (Tom), Tami Phillips (Lane), Herbert A. Day (Ginger), David E. Day (Kelli), Shawna Day, Wallace E. Day (Tiffany) and Marlene Blacket. They shared seventy grandchildren and a bunch of great-grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a brother Nyle Brady (Martha), sisters June Hunter (Walt), LaRue Trent (Buster). He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Millard, Boyd, Monty and sisters Ivora, and LaRue; and daughter Nancy June Brady Thornhill (Thomas)

A special thanks to the staff and his friends at Trinity Mission and Rehab who were so special to him and his family.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Grandview 5th ward chapel,1555 North 1350 West, Provo, Utah. A visitation will be held 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the ward chapel prior to the funeral services. Interment will be in the Veterans section of the Provo City Cemetery with military rites provided by American Legion Post #72.
