Retha Creel Deason

Retha Creel Deason, age 76, formerly of Brent, Alabama, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 5, 2013.

She resided at Red bank Life Care Center and was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Deason was preceded in death by her husband. Curtis Lee Deason, who passed away in 2001; parents, Hadie and Edos Creel; three brothers, Clifton, B.W., and Elbert Creel.

Survivors include one son, Lyman Deason of Dallas, TX; three daughters, Talma Clark and husband, Alvis, of Chattanooga, TN, Bama Armstrong and husband, Lawrence, of Hayden, AL, Judy Ohme and husband, Vance, of Gordon, NE; two brothers, Hester Creel of Centreville, AL and Jewel Creel of Brent, AL; four sisters, Ressie Deason of Centreville, AL, Maude Peterson of Ames, IA; Margie Simmons of Bellamy, AL and Ruby Watkins of Cleveland, TX; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 31 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held with friends on Monday, April 8, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home in Hixson, Tennessee.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2013 in the chapel of Rocco Funeral Home with the Reverend Steve O'Neal officiating. Interment will follow in Little Hope Cemetery with Perry, Eric and Lance Clark, Dale and Gary Armstrong, Dewayne and Shane Deason and Curtis Ohme serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Rocco Funeral Home on Friday, April 12, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. and again on Saturday until the hour of the service.
