Mrs. Rhudoy Walters

Funeral services for Mrs. Rhudoy Walters, 83, were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 1996, from the Polkville First Baptist Church. Rev. Paul Wilson officiated. Interment was made in the Polkville Baptist Church Cemetery, in Morton, MS.

Mrs. Walters passed away on Monday, December 16, 1996, at Columbia Northridge Nursing Home in Prattville, AL, following an extended illness. Mrs. Walters lived most of her life in Mississippi and had moved to Prattville, AL in 1991. She was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Willis Chapter #350 at White Oak.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Syble Maxine and Reginald E. Strickland of Prattville; son and daughter-in-law, Cleo T. and Carol A. Walters of Little Rock, AR; seven grandchildren, Roger Strickland of Montgomery, Michael Walters of MS, Sherri Lipscomb of OH, Linda Oos of Montgomery, Brenda Dunne of GA, Deborah Hill and Randall Strickland, both of GA and nine great grandchildren. Mrs. Walters was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Mr. Louis Walters in March 1996.

Pallbearers were Tom Sullivan, Herman Lee, E. Herman Lee, Howard Lee, Tony Everett, and Earnest Traxler.

Honorary pallbearers were ladies of the White Oak Eastern Star.

Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
