Richard Edward ``Punk'' McCarty

Wells -- Funeral Service for Richard Edward ``Punk'' McCarty, of Wells will be Sunday, February 7th at 2:00 P.M. at the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home in Alto with Rev. Horace Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Hester Cemetery near Wells.

Mr. McCarty died Friday in Lufkin. He was born November 18, 1950 in Nacogdoches, Texas to William Luke & Faye Lucille Hendrick McCarty. Mr. McCarty lived most of his life in the Forest Community and was Baptist. He had worked for over 20 years as a fork-lift driver for Brookshire Brothers and loved hunting, fishing and playing ``42''.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert McCarty.

Survivors include: Wife: Lydia Marie ``Bumpy'' McCarty -- Wells, Texas; Son & Daughter-in-law: Heath & Samantha McCarty -- Forest, Texas; Daughter: Crystal McCarty -- Forest, Texas, Tx; Brother & Sister-in-law: W. Glenn & Karon McCarty -- Forest, Tx.; Sister & Brother-in-law: Katherine & Curtis Oliver -- Forest, Texas; 4 Grandchildren: Morgan Green, Madison Green, JoLynn McCarty & Kodie McCarty; Numerous Nieces & Nephews. Pallbearers: Stacy Seymore, Derick Seymore, Shane Tullis, Eric Tobias, Roger Williams & Josh Dew.

Honorary Pallbearers: Robbie Crawford, Mark Glover & Tanker Shoemaker.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 6th from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home in Alto.
