Richard Lee Jones
Richard Lee (Casey) Jones, 92, of McComb died Jan. 4, 1997, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.
Visistation [sic Visitation] will be held from 5-10 p.m. Tuesday at Catchings Funeral Home of McComb. Visitation continues from noon Wednesday until services at 1 p.m. at East McComb Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow at New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in McCall Creek.
Mr. Jones was born Jan. 12, 1904, in Kansas City, Kan. He was the son of Clair Guess Jones and Ettie Lee Jones.
He was retired from Illinois Central Gulf Railroad as a conductor.
He was a member of East McComb Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Clarence Jones, Clyde Jones and Arthur Jones; two sisters, Mae Jones Barlow and twin sister Vallie Jones.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Amanda Buckels Jones of McComb; one son and two daughters-in-law, Richard A. and Sally Jones of Parker, Colo., and Connie Mills of Alexandria, La.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Anna and Chuck Lambert of McComb and Mary Sue and Gregory Posta of Ridgway, Colo.; one sister-in-law, Annie Louise Jones of Baton Rouge, La.; seven grandchildren, Bobbi Lynn Hartness, Becky David, David and Amber Posta, Karen and Mary Jane Lambert, and Austin Jones; three great-grandchildren, Luke Hartness and William and Katie David; two grandsons-in-law, Robby Hartness and Anthony David; and a number of nieces and nephews.
