RICHARD LEE OSBORN

He was born in Carnegie, OK to Dickson Durant and Dorothy Leona Osborn. He is survived by Grace Laverne Osborn, his loving wife of 67 years; 4 children, Richard Vincent Osborn, Victoria Louise Perry, James Robert Osborn, and John William Osborn; 6 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and his Uncle Johnny Sparks.

He served in the Navy in WWII and later attended SMU, graduating with a Law Degree. He practiced law in Sherman, TX, and then joined Sinclair Oil in Tyler, TX and later transferred to Midland, TX and then to Denver, later joining Ladd Petroleum in Denver, CO., after which he practiced law independently until his retirement. He was an elder in the Presbyterian Church. He retired to Broomfield Colorado where he spent his final years loving his wife and family. He was a lover of nature, especially birds. Also, music was a passion, with jazz being his favorite.

He was a generous selfless family man, friend to so many, and his memory will be cherished forever. Burial will be on Friday April 8th, 2016 at 11A.M. at the DFW National VA Cemetery in Dallas, TX.
