HARRISONBURG -- Funeral services for Richard Talfourd Jones Jr., 84, father of Gayle J. Fisher of DeQuincy, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, in First Baptist Church of Harrisonburg. The Revs. Eddie Clement, Jery Price and Gil Arthur will officiate. Burial will be in Harrisonburg Cemetery under direction of Young's Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2-10 p.m. today in the church.
Mr. Jones died Monday, Feb. 24, 1997, in Alexandria. A graduate of Natchitoches High School, he attended Northwestern University. He had retired as an accountant with R.A. Campbell Oil Co. and was a member of First Baptist Church of Harrisonburg.
Additional survivors are his wife, Nola B. Jones; one sister, Lynn Oakes of Baton Rouge; and four grandchildren.
