Richard T. McAlpin

MAGEE - Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Magee for Richard Tom McAlpin, 81, of Magee, who died Jan. 6, 2005, at Magee General Hospital.

Burial will be in Magee City Cemetery.

Mr. McAlpin was retired owner of McAlpin's Department Store, he was a member of First Baptist Church of Magee and he served in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ora Mae McAlpin and his parents, Erman Thomas and Emma Richardson McAlpin.

Survivors include three daughters, Pamela Ann McAlpin of Austin, Texas, Melissa Capobianco of Magee and Jenell Smith of Brandon; one brother, Jake McAlpin of Magee; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee.
