WESTLAKE -- Funeral services for Richard Yancey Young Jr., 78, will be at 2 p.m. today, July 7, in Hixson Funeral Home.

The Rev. Maurice Serice will officiate. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation is from 8:30 a.m.

Mr. Young died Sunday, July 4, 1999, in Westlake.

He was a native of Jena and had lived in Sulphur for 77 years. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He owned Jr. Young Heavy Equipment in Sulphur.

He was Catholic.

Survivors include three sons, Pete Young of Shreveport, Dick Young of Vidor, Texas, and John Pat Young of Topsy; two daughters, Juanita Talley of Sulphur and Yleta Hammett of Carlyss; one brother, Buddy Young of Moss Bluff; two sisters, Marie Thornton of Sulphur and Noelie Puckett of El Paso, Texas; 17 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.
