RICHARDSON, RITA LEVON “BONNIE”

A talented seamstress who created Mardi Gras costumes and retired as wardrobe manager for Disney on Ice with more than 14 years of service, she died at 12:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, 1998, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. She was 69, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Alberta, Canada. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday. Religious services at the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Monday, conducted by Bishop Fred L. Dedon Jr. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Survived by husband, James J. Richardson Sr., Baton Rouge; two sons, James J. Richardson Jr. and Thomas A. Richardson, both of Baton Rouge; four sisters, Myrtle Breaux, Harahan, Juanita Cooper and Lois Bates, both of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and Jerry Linda Brown, Baker; six grandchildren, Lori Cage, Henry Reeves, Jacob Richardson, Rebecca McCrain, J.J. Woodruff and Wade Woodruff; and four great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Jerry Faye Newell; and parents, Henry and Pauline Jones.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Richardson, J.J. Woodruff, Larry Brown, Henry Reeves, Chris McCrain and Donnie Cooper. Honorary pallbearer is Wade Woodruff.

She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ LDS - Baton Rouge Stake, The Relief Society and The Stagehand Guild.
