Robert E. Aultman, Jr.

REYNOLDS -- Graveside services for Robert E. "Bobby" Aultman, Jr., 80, of Reynolds will be held on Saturday at 11A.M. in Hillcrest Cemetery. Mr. Aultman passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert E. Aultman, Sr. and Antoinette Fountain Aultman.

Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Baker Aultman of Reynolds; a daughter, Gayle (Don) McPhail of Reynolds; a son, Stephen (Mona) Aultman of Springville, AL; six grandchildren, Sean and Todd McPhail, Christina Aultman, Melissa (Edward) Graham, Michelle Oswalt, and Rene Swift.

Mr. Aultman owned and operated Aultman's Grocery Store in Reynolds for many years and later worked for National Federation of Independent Businesses. He was a member and former chief of the Reynolds Volunteer Fire Department for more than fifty years and was also a charter member of the Taylor County Kiwanis Club. He served as a combat infantryman in Germany and the Philippines during World War II and continued his military service in the Georgia National Guard and the Army Reserves, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. He was also a faithful and active member of the Reynolds United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Reynolds United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 266, Reynolds, GA 31076 or The Golden Rule, P.O. Box 243, Butler, GA 31006.

Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
