ROBERT AMOS WEED

Robert Amos Weed, 64, 2810 N. 7th Ave., died Sunday night in a Laurel hospital after a short illness. He was a native of Louisiana and made his home in Laurel since 1957. He was retired foreman with Gulf Oil Company and a deacon of Highland Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 10 a.m. at Highland Baptist Church. Interment services will be at Masonic Cemetery in Delhi, La. The Rev. Ralph Graves will officiate, with Memory Chapel in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are his widow, Mrs. R. A. (Ottie) Weed; one son, Harry Milton Weed, Cottage Grove, Minn.; one daughter, Mrs. David Merritt, Lucedale; five grandchildren; two brothers; Ralph I. Weed, Leesville, La.; and Melvin H. Weed, West Lake, La.; and one sister, Mrs. Julien Stevens of Lafayette, La.

Pallbearers are Ben Ray Grant, Jim Bradford, Buster Hamm, Homer Baldwin, Bill Powell, Don Smith and G. P. Davis.

Honorary pallbearers are deacons of Highland Baptist Church.

The family requests memorials be made to Foreign Missions.
