Services for Robert B. ``R.B.'' Jones, age 71, of Olla, LA will be held at 10:00AM, Thursday, June 29, 2006 from the Olla Apostolic Church in Olla, LA with Rev. Donnie Boney officiating. Interment will follow in the Urania Cemetery under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla, LA.
Mr. Jones was born in Jena on March 14, 1935 to the union of Albert Neal and Ethelle McLendon Jones and died Sunday, June 25, 2006 at his residence. He was a retired consultant with Louisiana Pacific Corporation in Urania.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Sissy Jones and his grandson: Justin Corby McDaniel.
Survivors include his children: Robert ``Bobby'' Jones and his fiancee': Teresa West of Olla, LA, Paul Brent Jones and his wife: Pam of Urania, LA, Sherry Nell McDaniel and her husband: Michael of Urania, LA, and Trudy Connor and her husband: Paul of Vidor, TX, the mother of his children: Dee Lois Whiddon of Urania, LA, his brother: Paul Neal Jones of Urania, LA, his sister: Rose Ellen Franklin of Alexandria, LA, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ikey Harris, Ralph Harris, Pat McDougal, Loyd Golph, Dennis Rogers, Ronnie Russell, Michey Lofton and Buddy Poole. Lloyd Henagan will serve as a Honorary Pallbearer.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00PM until 9:00PM and Thursday from 8:00AM until service time at the Olla Apostolic Church, Hwy 165, Olla, LA.
