R. F. McClung Dies Saturday At Age of 79

SEAGOVILLE, Texas, April 5. -- Robert F. McClung, retired hardware merchant of Seagoville, died Saturday at Baylor Hospital in Dallas after an illness of two weeks. He was seventy-nine.

Funeral services will be at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Seagoville. Burial will be in the Lee Cemetery near Seagoville. Prewitt Funeral Home of Dallas is in charge of arrangements. His nephews will be pallbearers.

McClung was born June 20, 1872, at Atlanta, Cass County. He had lived in Dallas County since 1896. He and his wife, the former Miss Maggie Hawthorne, had celebrated their fifty-fifth wedding anniversary.

Survivors include Mrs. McClung; a daughter, Mrs. Roscoe M. Brantley, Mesquite; a granddaughter, Mrs. Marshall Alford, Mesquite; a brother, J. L. McClung, Seagoville; two sisters, Mrs. A. L. Mahanay, Frederick, Okla., and Mrs. M. Brown, Houston.
