ROBERT GENE AMODEO
Funeral services for Robert Gene Amodeo, 46, of Lucedale were
held January 22 at 2 p.m. at Rocky Creek Baptist Church.
He was a native of Hattiesburg and a long time resident of Lucedale. He was a truck driver for Ferry Trucking and was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church. He died January 16, 1997 in New York City, NY.
Survivors include his wife, Anita McLeod Amodeo of Lucedale; and
seven children, Timmy Amodeo, Josh Amodeo, Jamie Cowart, Joe Amodeo, Scott Mizelle, Ashley Mizelle and Miranda Mizelle.
Also surviving are his parents, Gwen McDaniel Amodeo Mechan and Curtis Mecham; mother-in-law, Glova McLeod; a brother, James ``Spanky'' Amodeo; a sister, Teresa Goff; three stepbrothers, Terry Gray of Price, UT.; Joe Dee Mechan of DeBeque, CO.; and Russell Mechan of Challis, ID.; a stepsister, Tonya Sargent of Vernal, UT. a son-in-law and daughter-in-law, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted by Rev. Roy Myers and Dr. Jerry Mixon.
Interment was in the Rocky Creek Cemetery with Sigler Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Chris McLeod, Brian McLeod, Phil Bradley, Randy
Fallon, Jerry Radcliff, William Eubanks and Curt Fallon. Honorary pallbearers included Grady R. Williams, Jr., Joe Dixon, Randy Ferry, Mark McLeod, Al Albritton and Jeffrey Dixon.
