ROBERT GUY CARTER

Robert Guy Carter, 64, Rt. 1, Laurel, Myrick Community, died unexpectedly Saturday. He was with the State Highway Department, a member of Myrick Baptist Church and Myrick Masonic Lodge.

Funeral services will be held Monday, 2 p.m. from Myrick Baptist Church with burial in Myrick Cemetery. The Rev. George Hammond will officiate. The body will be placed in the church Monday at 1 p.m. Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Merle Blackledge Carter; three daughters: Mrs. Charles Lowry, Meridian; Mrs. Harry Kahill, Crescent, Ore.; Mrs. Michael H. Robinson, Shreveport, La.; one stepson, B. C. Winningham, Hot Springs, Ark.; 13 grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Nolan Blackledge and Mrs. Norma McNair, both of Laurel.

Pallbearers will be deacons of Myrick Baptist Church.
