Robert Hensley

SAN ANTONIO -- Funeral services for Robert Hensley will be held at 12:15 p.m. Monday at the Alamo Funeral Home here. Burial will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors.

Hensley died Friday in Wilford Hall at Lackland Air Force Base here.

He was born March 20, 1919 in Hawkins and moved to Marshall as a young boy.

After graduating from Marshall High School, Hensley worked for the Dr. Pepper Co. here before he entered the service in 1939.

He retired as a master sergeant from the Air Force in 1962 and moved to San Antonio.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Marshall.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ruth Hensley; two daughters, Sharon Hensley and Pamela Whiten, both of San Antonio; two brothers, Shelton Hensley of Marshall and Don Hensley of Houston; two sisters, Ouida Grimes of Lufkin and Doris Vickery of San Antonio; one granddaughter; and one grandson.
