Robert Rotenberry, Jr.

WOODSTOCK -- Robert Joel Rotenberry, Jr., 70, of Woodstock, died March 4, 1994, at his residence.

Service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rockco Funeral Home in Centreville with Jimmy Jones, Ben Corley, Amos Murphree and Jerry Reach officiating. Burial will be in Kinard Cemetery in West Blocton with Rockco Funeral Home directing.

He was a retired coal miner. He was a member of West Scottsville United Methodist Church, West Blocton Elks Lodge No. 710, and a member of the United Mine Workers of America.

Survivors include his wife, Lela Elizabeth Rotenberry, Woodstock; four sons, Bill Rotenberry, Hueytown, Joe Pierson, West Blocton, Bob Rotenberry and Steve Rotenberry, both of Woodstock; three daughters, Sarah R. Knight, Woodstock, Sandra R. Syester, Lizton, Ind., and Libby R. Burns, West Blocton; his mother, Essie Stewart Kornegay, Woodstock; two brothers, T.C. Kornegay and Arvell Kornegay, both of Woodstock; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Rickey Kornegay, Eddie Kornegay, Randall Kornegay, John Eddie Marchant, Joe King and Jesse Marchant.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.
