Robert L. Atkins

Funeral services for Robert Lathon Atkins, 21, of Crowville, will be today (Thursday) at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Winnsboro. The Revs. Larry Walker and Lee Smith will officiate.

Mr. Atkins was killed in an auto accident January 1.

A lifelong resident of Crowville, Mr. Atkins was an oil field worker. He was a member of Crockett Point Baptist Church.

Interment will be in the Crowville Masonic Cemetery.

Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Atkins; a sister, Mrs. Mary Ann Canady, Ridgecrest; six brothers, David Atkins, Sheldon Atkins and Henry Atkins, Crowville; James Atkins, Clarksdale, Miss.; Wilburn Atkins, Alexandria, and Dale Atkins, Delhi; grandparents, Mr. amd Mrs. W. R. Sikes, Winnsboro; four nieces and one nephew.

Pallbearers will be Larry Walters, Mike Pylant, James Fletcher, Billy Buchan, Anthony Sturdivant and Marvin Womack.
