R. Lawson Womack

Funeral services for R. Lawson Womack, 56, of Winnsboro were 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fort Necessity Baptist Church with the Revs. Doyle Adams and Bennie Alford officiating. Burial was in Fort Necessity Cemetery.

Mr. Womack died Monday morning at Franklin Parish Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was a life-long resident of Franklin Parish and a member of Fort Necessity Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rethia Womack of Winnsboro; six sons, Donald Gene Womack, Ralph G. Womack, Glen Dale Womack, all of Winnsboro, Charles W. Womack, Ricky T. Womack, both of Shreveport, and Robert L. Womack Jr. of Kansas City, Mo.; six daughters, Mrs. S. B. Robinson, Miss Brenda Womack, Miss Lisa Womack, all of Winnsboro, Mrs. A. J. Talley of Lafayette, Mrs. Billy Darden of Monroe, and Mrs. Michael LeLeux of Alexandria; two brothers, Sam Womack of Crowville and Homer Womack of Tampa, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Lillie Melton of Chatham; and 12 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Barney Taylor, Ray Bryan, Larry Eubanks, Johnsie McMurray, Tim Austin and C. W. Womack.
