Robert Bass
Robert Lee Bass, 77, died Saturday, March 3, 2007, at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. Robert was born in Liberty, Miss., and grew up in Pike County, Miss. He formerly resided the majority of his life in Walker and was most recently, a resident of Albany. He was a retired pipeline mechanic and a business partner of Highway 190 Auto Salvage in Walker.
Visitation was at Seale Funeral Home, Livingston, Tuesday and Wednesday until funeral services. Interment was in Salem Baptist Cemetery, Weiss.
He is survived by his spouse, Joyce Bass; and five children, Ronald L. Bass, Richard A. Bass, Debra Bass Whitehead, Maudie Bass Book and J. Gail Bass. He resided with and is survived by Vera Poole, and children, Mackie Sharp, Huey Poole, Norman Poole and Buffy. Robert is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is survived as well by his loving brother, Delos ``Red'' Bass.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, M.H. Bass and Aler Elizabeth Freeman; three brothers, Lloyd Bass Sr., Odel Bass and Mark Randall Finch Sr.; and sister-in-law, Winifred Sue Bass.
Robert Lee Bass had a big heart and a great love and concern for his family. He will be missed.
