Robert L. `Bob' Buckelew
Funeral services for Mr. Robert L. `Bob' Buckelew will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005 in Hebron Baptist Church, Dry Prong with the Reverends Richard 'Dick' DeBusk and Charles Hutzler officiating. Burial will be in Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery, Dry Prong under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville.
Mr. Buckelew, 88, of Dry Prong, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005 at Rapides Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Buckelew retired from Illinois Central Railroad after working as a maintenance foreman 33 years. He was member of Woodman of the World Lodge #251, Dry Prong.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Corbitt Buckelew; parents, John Finch Buckelew and Willie Mae Slayter Buckelew; and a brother, Worth Buckelew.
Survivors include his sons, Glen Buckelew of Jena and Larry Buckelew of Alvin, Texas; a daughter, Lorraine Buckelew Doughty of Frankston, Texas; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. today at Hixson Brothers, Pineville and from 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the church.
