Robert L. Fountain

MONTICELLO -- Robert L. Fountain, 79, of Monticello died Saturday at home.

The service will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Beggs-Wilkins Funeral Home Chapel in Monticello, with burial at Roseland Cemetery. Masonic rites will be held at graveside. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 Thursday at the funeral home.

A native of Doerun, Ga., he was a former resident of Charing, Ga., and lived in Monticello for 60 years. He was a retired superintendent for Florida Power Corp. He was also the I.B.E.W. Union Representative for Florida Power and a member of Hiram Lodge no. 5., F.&A.M., the Order of Easter Star and the First Baptist Church in Monticello.

Survivors include his wife, Dollie Ruth Reed Fountain of Monticello; three sons, Robert L. Fountain and Wallace Terry Fountain, both of Tallahassee and Jack Warren Fountain of Slidell, La.; two brothers, Luther T. Fountain of Monticello and Hoke S. Fountain of Mendota, Ill.; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
