Died at 7:50 a.m. Tuesday at Baton Rouge General Hospital. A resident of Livingston, he was 73, a retired lumberman and merchant and a native of Franklin County, Miss. The body will be at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs until 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Religious services at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Livingston, with the Revs. Clyde Howard, Charlie Arnold and David Strebeck officiating. Burial at Red Oaks Cemetery with Masonic services at graveside.
Pallbearers will be E. M. McGehee, N. L. McGehee, Paul McGehee, J. D. Moak, Clayton May and Edward May.
He is survived by his widow, the former Mary Caraway; three sons, Robert E. May, Lafayette; Oliver P. May, Lima, Ohio, and Kenneth N. May, Athens, Ga.; three daughters, Mrs. Farrell Roberts, Clinton; Mrs. Marvin Waldrop and Mrs. Richard Blystad, Denham Springs; two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Moak, Summit, Miss.; and Mrs. Bessie Caraway, Denham Springs; one brother, Frank May, Doyle, and 10 grandchildren.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Livingston and the Denham Springs Masonic Lodge, No. 297.
