Robert Hawthorne

SHREVEPORT (Special) -- Services for Robert O. B. Hawthorne, former Shreveport resident, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Shreveport.

Burial will be in Centuries Park Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Hawthorne died Thursday in Anniston Memorial Hospital in Anniston, Ala.

Survivors are two sons, Robert O. Hawthorne of Pineville, John R. Hawthorne, Jacksonville; a daugher, Mrs. Hazel Gibbs of Houston, Tex.; and 12 grandchildren.

Robert Hawthorne

Robert O. B. Hawthorne, 77, of 111 Marle St., Jacksonville, died Wednesday at Anniston Memorial Hospital following a short illness.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Shreveport, La. Burial will be in Centuries Memorial Park in Shreveport.

Mr. Hawthorne is survived by two sons, Robert O. Hawthorne of Pineville, La. and John R. Hawthorne of Jacksonville; one daughter, Mrs. Hazel Gibbs of Houston, Texas, and one sister, Mrs. Ethel McWhorters [sic McWhorter] of McKinney, Texas.

Mr. Hawthorne was a native of Texas and a veteran of World War I. He lived with his son in Jacksonville.
