ROBERT RAYNER

The funeral service for Robert Rayner, 52, of Route 1, Louin, was held today at 2 p.m. at the Harrison Funeral Home with burial at Calvary Cemetery. The Rev. James Lightsey officiated and Harrison Funeral Homes was in charge of arrangements.

He died Saturday at the VA Hospital in Jackson and was a retired pipeline worker, a Baptist and a WWII veteran.

He is survived by a widow, Earline Rayner, Louin; one daughter, Rose Mary Williams, Rose Hill; three sons, Stanley Rayner, Louin; Eddie Joe Rayner, Martin, Tenn., and Terry Rayner, Moselle; a mother, Flonnie Evans, Louin; two sisters, Nilda Pickerson, Louin, and Fondia Dean Bufkin, Stringer, and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Shorter Jordan, Douglas Gregory, Gwyn Hendry, Hurston James, Bill Pittman and Alfred McCarty.
