DREW -- Robert Self, 80, a retired employee of the State Highway Department, died of heart failure Tuesday in Walter B. Crook Nursing Facility in Ruleville.

Services are 11 a.m. today at Oliver Funeral Home in Winona with burial in Vaiden Cemetery in Vaiden.

Mr. Self was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

Survivors include: wife, Pearl; daughters, Shirley James and Betty Gorrell, both of Drew, and Joyce Tate of Keller, Texas; sons, Don Self of Cleveland, Morris Self of Kilmichael and Mike Self of Grenada; and eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

DREW -- Services for Robert “Bob” Self, 80, of Drew, who died of heart failure Sunday, Oct. 17, 2000, at Walter B. Crook Nursing Facility in Ruleville, will be at 11 a.m. today at Oliver Funeral Home in Winona.

Mr. Self was a retired Mississippi State Highway Department employee. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church near Vaiden.

He is survived by his wife, Pearl Doster Self of Drew; three daughters, Shirley James and Betty Gorrell, both of Drew, and Joyce Tate of Keller, Texas; three sons, Don Self of Cleveland, Miss., Morris Self of Kilmichael and Mike Self of Grenada; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The Rev. James McNally will officiate at the service. Burial will be in Vaiden Cemetery.

Visitation was from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
