Services for Sgt. Robert Shane Pugh will be held Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Calvin Farmer and John Sweeny officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Sgt. Pugh, 25, of the Causeyville Community, died Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at 11:21 Central Standard Time, in Baghdad, Iraq. He served in the HHC, First Battalion, 155th Infantry, in McComb. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard for six years. He was a special care donor with United Blood Services in Meridian.

Survivors include his wife, Amanda Warbington Pugh of Causeyville; his mother, Wilma Allen and her husband, Gary, of Stonewall; his father, Glenn Pugh of the Meehan Community; a sister, Jennifer Hill and her husband, Rick, of Sandersville and their children, Destiny and Rick Hill; half-sisters, Tiffany Allen and April Allen; half-brothers, Dale Allen and Scotty Pugh; his grandparents, Lucille Phillips, Ann and Sims Holifield and his step-grandmother, Daisy Allen; a sister-in-law, Bridget Davidson and her husband, Brian and their son, Austin; a brother-in-law, Ron Warbington and his mother-in-law, Judy Bearden.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Orvin Pugh and Loyd Phillips.

Memorials may be made to the Key Chapter of the American Red Cross in Meridian.

Pallbearers will be members of the U.S. Military.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and Thursday at 10:30 a.m. until service time.
