Roberta Parrott Conner

Funeral service for Mrs. Roberta Parrott Conner, age 92, of Nacogdoches will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Laird Funeral Home with Bro. Josh Luellen of the First Baptist Church in Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Alazan Cemetery.

Mrs. Roberta Parrott Conner died Saturday, December 30, 2006 in Lufkin.

Born October 15, 1914 in Chireno, she was the daughter of Callie (Jones) Fitzgerald and John Calvin Fitzgerald. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce Maxine and Billy Sessions of Lufkin, Gearldean and Craig Rector of Nacogdoches and Sharon Parrott of Lufkin; step-daughter Annie Lee Hudson and husband Richard of Henderson; 23 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Conner was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Henry Fred Parrott in 1953 and Wilmer K. Conner in 1980; daughter Doris Jean Parrott Channel, brother Jack Fitzgerald; sister Melissa Couie and great-grandson James Lee McKnight.

Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Calvin Fitzgerald, Michael John Fitzgerald, Bennie Fitzgerald and Calvin Fitzgerald.

The family will receive friends from 4 until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at the funeral home. Laird Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
