Anders, Roddis Morgan

A native of Gloster, Miss., and a resident of Zachary, he died Friday, Nov. 18, 2005, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.

He was 81, born Dec. 8, 1923. He served as a petty officer in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was retired from Dow Chemical Co. in Plaquemine. He was a member of Zachary United Methodist Church in Zachary.

He is survived by a daughter, Beverly A. Bordelon of Zachary; two sons, James A. Anders, Greenville, S.C., and Brent M. Anders of Jackson; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma McCraine ``Dolly'' Anders; a son, Roddis Morgan Anders Jr.; and his parents, Henry and Carrie Reeves Anders.

Visiting at Brown Funeral Home chapel in Gloster on Monday, Nov. 21, from 11 a.m. until religious service at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Gregory Davis.

Interment in Roseland Cemetery in Gloster.
