Roderic R. (Rod) Holloway, 86, of Laurel, died Wednesday, March 27, 1996, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel.
Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, with burial in Spring Hill Cemetery in Jones County. The Revs. Bob Bullock and Nelson Crozier will officiate.
He was a retired electrician. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Justice Height United Methodist Church in Laurel.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Holloway.
He is survived by one son, Glenn Holloway of Laurel; two daughters, Faye Short and Barbara Kirk, both of Laurel; one brother, Newton Hol[l]oway of Laurel; one sister, Willie V. Johnson of Laurel; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Yancy Kirk, Rod Kirk, Basil Kirk, Adam Kirk, Cooper Pope and James Madison.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, which is in charge of arrangements.
