Mr. Roger Dale Dunn

SHREVEPORT, LA - Services for Mr. Roger Dale Dunn, 49, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 23, 1993 at Rose-Neath's Marshall Street Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Joe Mercer, pastor of Union City Church of God, Union City, Tenn. Assisted by Rev. Terry Beavers, pastor of SouthPark Church of God. Burial will be in Rose-Neath Cemetery, Bossier City, La.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 9 a.m. Friday, January 22, 1993 at the funeral home.

Mr. Dunn died Thursday, January 21, 1993 at HCA Highland Hospital after a sudden illness. He was born in Winnfield, La. where he formerly resided and was a resident of Shreveport since 1985. Mr. Dunn was Assistant Vice-President of Marketing for Kilpatrick Life Ins. Co. and Central State Life Ins. Co. He was an active member and Sunday School teacher at SouthPark Church of God, served as Sunday School Superintendent for many years, and served in the music ministry of the church. Mr. Dunn was a member of the Life Underwriters Association and the General Agents and Managers Association in Louisiana.

He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Dunn.

Survivors include his wife, Dolores E. Dunn; one daughter, Anitra N. Dunn both of Shreveport, La.; mother, Mrs. Elnora Dunn of Winnfield, La.; two sisters, Linda Ann Mercer of Winnfield, La. and Jennette Towns of Shreveport, La.; two nephews, Craig Mercer and Keith Guillotte.

Pallbearers will be Don Lindsey, Jerry Lindsey, Bill Haegele, Ronald Loe, Murwyn Stover, Rev. George Bartow, Edward Lebato, and Anita Walters.

Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Kilpatrick Life Insurance and Central State Life Insurance Companies.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the SouthPark church of God in memory of Roger Dale Dunn.
