R. L. McGinty's Rites Are Today
A former Shreveporter and brother of a local resident, R. L. McGinty, 87, of Woodville, Tex., died Wednesday in a Woodville nursing home following a lengthy illness.
Mr. McGinty, brother of E. P. McGinty, 249 Egan St., a former furniture dealer and businessman, owned the Louisiana and Como Hotels in Shreveport at one time and several restaurants, among them the Triangle Cafe in Bossier City. He was a native of Winnfield.
In addition to his brother, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Maxine Harold [sic Carroll], Woodville, and one other brother, E. W. McGinty, Montgomery.
Funeral services will be conducted in Woodville at 11 a.m. Thursday with burial to be in Woodville.
