Ronald Henry
AUSTIN -- Ronald Eugene Henry, beloved father, friend and grandfather passed away after a long battle with leukemia. Ronnie was born November 28, 1944, in Marshall, Texas, to Horace Henry and Ouida Hensley. He was raised by his grandparents, Thomas and Sarah Hensley, whom he loved very much and spoke very highly of throughout his life.
He graduated with a business degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and had a career in sales and then carpentry later in life. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed everything Caddo Lake had to offer. He also took many fishing trips to Lake Guerrero, Mexico, with his friends over the years and frequented Cabo San Lucas in the later years of his life, where he loved to vacation and fish.
Ronnie is survived by his daughter, Marcie Barr, son-in-law, John Barr and granddaughters, Megan and Emily, all of Austin, Texas; and his longtime partner and girlfriend, Sherry Hanson of Uncertain, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and only brother, Harvey Henry.
Ronnie will be cremated and a celebration of his life will take place at Caddo Lake in the spring.
