Ronald J. Ducote

Ronald Jude ``Ron'' Ducote, 67, of Toledo Bend passed away on Monday evening at his home. He was born in Cottonport, Louisiana on September 3, 1936 to Lurry P. Ducote and Lilly Belle Ducote. He was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and lived in Port Arthur most of his life. Ron served in the National Guard. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and O.C.A.W. for a long time. He retired from Chevron as a supervisor in 1995 after 42 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking as a hobby.

Visitation will be on Wednesday evening from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a vigil service to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be on Thursday, June 10, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Clayton Thompson with Deacon Vernon Drummond, officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Ducote of Toledo Bend; his mother, Lily Belle Ducote of Nederland; his daughter, Debra Jenkinson and her husband, Randall of Bridge City; his sons, Gary Ducote Sr. and his wife, Leila of Spring, Kevin Ducote and his wife, Kim of Groves and Gary Ducote Jr. of Groves; his grandchildren, Lekeisha Duve of Austin, Neely Weatherly of Groves, Misty Brimm of South Carolina and Chelsea Ducote of Groves; his great grandchildren, Ashten and Cade Weatherly both of Groves, Nicholas and Nichole Duve both of Austin; his sister, Demitra Powell of Winnie and his brother, Joey Ducote of Nederland.
