Rosa May Nix, 81, of Oak Grove, La., died Aug. 14, 1999, at West Carroll Memorial in Oak Grove.
Visitation is 7-10 tonight at Brown Funeral Home in Liberty. Services are 3 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Pat Loftin officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery.
Mrs. Nix was born June 26, 1918. She was the daughter of Albert Foreman and Eunice Stokes.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Engle, Audry, John and Douglas Foreman; and two sisters, Irene Whittington and Lorene Sullivan.
She is survived by her husband, Percy Nix of Oak Grove; two sons and daughters-in-law, Garland and Margie Whittington of Liberty, W.L. and Millie Whittington of Brandon; three daughters and sons-in-law, Polly and Malcolm Wilkinson of Liberty, Pat W. and Dickie Smith of St. Joseph, La., and Becki and Jeff Galbreath of Alexandria,La.; two stepsons and their wives, Kenny and Suzanne Nix of Oak Grove, and Ronnie and Kay Nix of White Hall, Ark.; 16 grandchildren, Greg Wilkinson, Chris Haygood and Nikki Haygood, all of Liberty, Pam McGraw of Woodville, Laura Beth and Tory Galbreath, both of Alexandria, Terri Owens of Prairieville, La., Ronald Glen Whittington of Brookhaven, Craig Whittington of Florida, Memrie Connors and Will Whittington, both of Brandon, Sage Smith of Winter Park, Colo., Lowry Smith of Winnsboro, La., Brad and Kyle Nix of Oak Grove, and T.J. Nix of White Hall, Ark.; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Doyle Foreman of Pasadena, Texas, and James Foreman of Ashville, N.C., two sisters, Kathleen Nolan of Poplarville and Maggie Dell Runyan of Marion, Ky.; and a twin sister, Annie Freeman of Washington.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
