Visitor from California

Mrs. J. E. Cole of Santa Barbara, California, was called to Jackson on account of the serious illness of her mother, Mrs. John Laird, of Wesley avenue. Mrs. Cole will be remembered as Miss Elma Bazoon, formerly of Jackson.

CAPITOL ACTIVITIES

Both capitols were closed on Wednesday afternoon in tribute to Mrs. John Laird, wife of the popular capitol engineer, who died Tuesday, May 14th, after a lingering illness.
