OIL CITY, LA - Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2001 at 3:30 p.m. at Ferry Lake Baptist Church, Oil City. Officiating the service will be Rev. Bill Treadway. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Our mother and wife went to be with the Lord on September 14, 2001 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 64 years old and a resident of Oil City for 39 years. She was born in Pelican, Louisiana and was a retired bookkeeper for Keith D. Peterson Ins., Inc.
Mother, Memaw, Yvonne, Susie, etc., was a special person to all. She loved the Lord, her family and friends. She will be greatly missed for the love she shared.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her father, Winford P.Emmons and her mother, Custava E. Hinkle (sic Gustava E. Hinkie). She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Thomas Bunting-Oil City three sons, Mike Liles and his wife, Valerie of Haughton, LA, Randy Liles and his wife, Beth of Lafayette, LA, Shane Bunting of Oil City, LA step-daughter, Mary ``Tulik'' Beck and her husband, Stuart of Bronxville, NY one brother, Winford D. Emmons of Houston, TX, 14 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Demar Liles, Joe Liles, Duane Nottingham, Delmon Nottingham, Charles Shaffer and Charles Dupree.
Visitation will be at McGuire Funeral Home in Vivian, LA on Saturday, September 15, 2001 from 5-8 p.m.
