Rosie Mae Parnell Pryne, 83, of Lumberton, Texas, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2011. She was born May 16, 1927 in Winnsboro, Louisiana to Henry and Mary Johnston.
Rosie was preceded in death by her first husband, Wayne Parnell, and last husband, Pete Pryne; grandsons, Michael Parnell, and Clinton Rhodes.
She is survived by daughters, Linda Parnell of Pineland, Fay Barkley and husband, Bill of Waco, Peggy Davis and husband, Mike of Lumberton, Jeanie Sistrunk and husband, Joel of Lumberton; grandchildren, Trudy Jordan and husband, Mark of Kountze, Jimmy Wayne Parnell and wife, Stephanie, John Parnell, Stephen Parnell and wife, Crystal, Jessica Bennett and husband, Josh, all of Pineland, Becky Mitchell and husband, Terry of Jasper, Diane Smith of Houston, Brian Barkley and wife, Kelli of Fort Worth, David Barkley and wife, Heather of Houston, Lisa Moseley and partner, Britton Peveto of Lumberton, Kelly Gwynn and husband, Ty of Lumberton, Jeremiah Davis and wife, Misty of Aubrey, Zachary Davis of Beaumont, Teresa Flocke and husband, Christopher of Arlington, Jason Rhodes of Lumberton, Kevin Rhodes of Lumberton, Tessa Gungor and husband, Tunc of Beaumont; 39 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held Thursday, February 3, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
Funeral services to take place Friday, February 4, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow in the Sundial Garden, Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jimmy Wayne Parnell, John Parnell, Stephen Parnell, Jason Rhodes, David Barkley, and Ty Gwynn. Honorary Pallbearers are Kevin Rhodes, Brian Barkley, and Zachary Davis.
