Ross A. DeLee

Ross A. DeLee, 65, of 419 Herndon, died at a local hospital at 6:15 p.m. yesterday, following a long illness.

He was retired from his position with Illinois Central railroad approximately a year and a half ago, following more than 50 years service with the company. A native of Clinton, La., he had been a resident of Shreveport for the past 38 years.

He was a 32nd [degree] Mason, a Shriner and a member of the Knights Templar.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. tomorrow at the Osborn funeral chapel. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.

DeLee is survived by his widow; two sons, Dr. R. B. DeLee and Dr. Stuart DeLee, both of Shreveport; two brothers, Seabe DeLee and Leon DeLee, both of Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Schleg of St. Louis, Mo., and Mrs. Louise Allen of Independence, La.; and four grandchildren, Rickey, Douglas, Claire and Cornelia DeLee, all of Shreveport.
