Roy Simon

Roy C. Simon, 63, of 2459 Edgar St., died at 9:40 p.m. Thursday at the Willis-Knighton Memorial Hospital of a sudden illness.

A native of Winnsboro, Mr. Simon was a retired employe of the Libbey-Owens Ford Co.

The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. today at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home's Southside Chapel with the Rev. Bill Stovall, pastor of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park West.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Simon of Shreveport; a son, Danny Simon of Shreveport; a daughter, Mrs. Jack Calvert of Shreveport; his mother, Mrs. Alma Simon of Hamburg, Ark.; two brothers, I. B. Simon of Winnsboro and W. M. Simon of Shreveport; five sisters, Mrs. Katie Kemper of Colorado Springs, Colo., Mrs. Doris Guzman of Fayetteville, Ark., Mrs. Garland Kemper and Mrs. Jerry McGriffen, both of Anaheim, Calif., and Mrs. Bonnie Thompson of Houston, Tex.; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ken Hudson, B. G. Gray, W. B. King, Wayne Roberts, A. G. Dowden Jr. and R. T. Dowden.
