Roy E. Daye, Jr.

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Services for Roy E. Daye, Jr., 72, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, October 4, 2001 at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. J. Roddy Taylor of First Methodist Church of Pineville, LA. Burial will be in Minden Cemetery in Minden, LA.

Funeral home visitation will be at 10 a.m. Thursday until service time.

Mr. Daye died Tuesday, October 2, 2001 in Shreveport, LA after a brief illness. He was born in Cotton Valley, LA, was a former resident of Alexandria, LA and resided in Bossier City. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Columbia, LA. Mr. Daye was a veteran, joining the United States Navy during WWII.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Daye; daughters, Kathleen LeBouef and Rebecca Daye.

Survivors are his daughter, Patti Daye Woods and husband, Riley of Pineville, LA; granddaughter, Jessie Blair of Houma, LA; sister, Anna Laura Mills and husband, Jack of Corpus Christi, TX and brother, C. T. Daye and wife, Mary of Brownsville, TX.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Miller, Charles Alger, Bob Hardy, Bud Harrington, Walt Weaver and James Bass.
