Local Lady's Brother Dies

Funeral services for Roy Emmons, 49, were held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Osborn's Chapel in Shreveport. Burial was in Centuries Memorial Park, Shreveport.

Emmons died Friday at a Shreveport hospital. He was the son of Mrs. J. M. Emmons and a brother of Mrs. W. C. Hebert, both of Carthage.

Emmons, a native of Atlanta, La., had resided in Shreveport some 48 years. He was owner of Ark-La-Tex builders and was a member of the Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Camelia Emmons of Shreveport; one daughter, Mrs. Sherrie Leon of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Glyn Emmons of Bossier City and Phillip Emmons of Shreveport; two sisters, Mrs. Hebert and Mrs. Marcus E. Smith of Monroe, La., and his mother.
