Services for Mr. Roy Malcolm Hinton, 79, of Calhoun, LA will be at 1:30 PM Sunday, June 2, 2002 at Downsville United Methodist Church, Downsville, LA.
Interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery, Calhoun, LA with Rev. Owen Peyton under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Hinton was born December 19, 1922 in Downsville, LA and passed away on May 31, 2002 in West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Hinton worked for many years as a production foreman in the oil industry. He served during World War II as a Seabee in the United States Navy. Mr. Hinton was a member of the Downsville United Methodist Church, the Downsville and Choudrant Masonic Lodge, Monroe Scottish Rite, and the Barak Shrine Temple.
He was preceded in death by a son, Smokey Hinton.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Ruby Baxter Hinton daughter, Carolyn Sistrunk and husband John grandsons, Christopher and wife Shannon Sistrunk, and Jason Sistrunk, all of Calhoun, LA and sister, Mae Hammons of Downsville, LA.
Pallbearers will be Johnny McFarland, James B. Guice, Harry Hinton, Robert Hinton, John Wallace, and J. D. Hammons.
Memorials may be made to Downsville United Methodist Church, Barak Shrine Temple, or any charity of your choice.
Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
