JONES -- Roy P. Jones, 64, of Alexandria, died at 10:50 a.m. today, Feb. 19, 1951 in a local hospital. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alma Jones, one daughter, Mrs. Wadley Blackman of Alexandria, two brothers, Harvey Jones of Montgomery and Everett Jones of Shreveport, three sisters, Mrs. Talfo[u]rd Jones of Natchitoches, Mrs. Blanche Howard of Laurel, Miss., and [Mrs.] Clyde Slay of Shreveport, his mother, Mrs. L. D. Jones of Shreveport, and three grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, 1951 in the Hixson Bros. Funeral home chapel. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion cemetery near Montgomery.
