Burn Victim's Services Set

NATCHITOCHES -- Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday for Roy E. Slaughter, 43, who burned to death Tuesday in San Saba, Tex., where he was working.

The rites will be held in the Provencal Baptist Church with the Rev. Oliver Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Shiloe Cemetery under the direction of the First National Funeral Home of Provencal.

Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Nellie Breazzell of Provencal; four brothers, Albert Slaughter of Provencal, Sammy Slaughter of California, Oscar Slaughter of Illinois, and the Rev. Billy Jackson of Natchitoches; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Boydston of Natchitoches, and Mrs. Rosie Ham of Houston, Tex.; and several nieces and nephews.
