Ruby Powell

Services for Mrs. Ruby Jewell Bamburg Powell, 73, Denham Springs, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 1991 at Riser and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Columbia with Rev. C.D. Miles and Don Bonner officiating. Burial was in Hebert Cemetery under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home Inc. of Columbia.

Mrs. Powell died April 12 at her residence after an extended illness.

Survivors include two sons, Bobby Jack Powell of Rodchester [sic Rochester], Illinois, and Alvin Glenn Powell of Denham Springs, LA; one daughter, Mrs. Alva Rue Powell Galloway of Denham Springs; two brothers, Mr. Robert Bamburg of Hebert and Mr. Thomas Bamburg of Clarks; six sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Shipp of Clarks, Mrs. Myrtle Garner and Mrs. Helen Foster, both of Monroe, Mrs. Katie Gaugh of Iowa, LA, Mr. Francis Smith and Mrs. Edna Shipp, both of Columbia; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Harry Dawson, Jimmy Powell, John Parker, Gary Bamburg, Jimmy Emmons, Buddy Foster, J.V. Garner and Charles Bamburg.
