Ex-Odessan Dies In Crane
CRANE (Special) -- Mrs. Ruby A. Hustead, 64, of Crane, a former Odessa resident, died Saturday in Crane Memorial Hospital. She had been hospitalized with a stroke.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Methodist Church with Rev. Harvey Carrell, pastor, officiating. Rev. Russell Heaner of McCamey will assist. Burial will be in Crane Cemetery under director of Crites Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hustead was born on Nov. 26, 1898, in Kosse and was married there on Nov. 11, 1916, to F. D. Hustead. He died on Dec. 10, 1962.
The Husteads lived in Crane for several years before they moved to Odessa in about 1955. They lived in Odessa about six years and returned to Crane in 1960.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Jack Andrews and Mrs. Herman Hooper, both of McCamey, and Mrs. Wesley Lingle of Kamay; two sons, Earl Hustead of Crane and Roy Hustead of Webb City, Okla.; two brothers, J. E. Freeman of Wichita Falls and Bill Freeman of Houston; and four sisters, Mrs. Van Crabb of Houston, Miss Estelle Freeman of Houston, Mrs. Dovie Sanders of Dallas and Mrs. Georgia Humphries of Oakland, Calif.
